Desde diciembre de 2023, Morel Dipl\u00e1n ocupaba provisionalmente dicho cargo. Actualmente es obispo auxiliar de Santiago y presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Pastoral de Ecolog\u00eda y Medio Ambiente de la Conferencia del Episcopado Dominicano (CED).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trayectoria de Carlos Tom\u00e1s Morel Dipl\u00e1n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Formado en el Seminario Pontificio Santo Tom\u00e1s de Aquino, Morel Dipl\u00e1n fue ordenado sacerdote en junio de 2000. Ha cursado estudios especializados, como el de Pastoral Vocacional en Colombia en 2001 y la licenciatura en Teolog\u00eda Moral en Roma en 2007. Su carrera en la Arquidi\u00f3cesis de Santiago incluye roles como rector del Proped\u00e9utico y Filosofado San P\u00edo X, profesor en la PUCMM y miembro del Tribunal Eclesi\u00e1stico.<\/p>\n<p>Fue ordenado obispo auxiliar de Santiago de los Caballeros en 2017 por Mons. Rafael Le\u00f3nidas Felipe y N\u00fa\u00f1ez.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sobre la di\u00f3cesis de La Vega<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La di\u00f3cesis de La Vega fue creada en 1511 por la Bula *Romanus Pontifex* del Papa Julio II. Esta jurisdicci\u00f3n incluye las provincias de La Vega, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez y Hermanas Mirabal. Su anterior obispo, Mons.
